On Sundays we Brunch!

Everyone’s been missing Sunday brunch at "Beyond Brunch Sundays" BUT they are back and better than ever! This event was previously held at Cafe Iguanas which closed due to Covid. The event is now held at Backyard Ft Lauderdale located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, we think this is a great move for the creators of the event, The Big Three Alliance.
The venue is bigger and it also offers a beautiful outside patio!
First off, can we talk about the food? A full brunch buffet that includes made to order omelets, a delicious assortment of fruits, and our personal favorite, the chicken and waffles (these were simply perfect and melted in your mouth). The food was amazing and since it’s all inclusive for $50, we definitely indulged.
The vibes were seriously unmatched, games were held outside and hosted by our Curvy Host (@Frankieredwordz on IG). Curvy gang member Kat and Toya (from @shapelywvents on IG) joined in on the fun and were forced to eat a spoonful of Mayo and Chile powder (we do not recommend). The games are a bonus but what’s a brunch party WITHOUT a dope DJ? One thing we found out is that this brunch is featuring different DJ’s each week, this keeps the party new and exciting each week. While we were there they played everything from Bachata to R&B. As far as being plus sized friendly goes, this venue is not venue for all.  Picnic table seating outside which may be low and tight for some. It may not be the best option to sit outside. The only other option was high top seating and that was available inside & outside. Reservations are highly recommended.

Last but not least we’d like to say thank you to their photographer Kodakjacq_ for coming to our table and taking pics. Sometimes at a party the plus size group goes unnoticed but this photographer literally took a few shots to make us feel and look beautiful!
